4. Technical Specifications & Requirements

Most 2026 tenders mandate the following "Must-Have" technical components:

  •  Camera Type: 2MP or 5MP IP-based Bullet/Dome cameras with Infrared (IR) night vision.
  •  Specialized Hardware: ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and Face Recognition (FR) cameras for traffic and high-security zones.
  •  Storage:Support for H.265 compression and 30 to 90 days of local/cloud backup.
  •  Connectivity:PoE (Power over Ethernet) switches and Layer 2 managed access switches.

Note for Bidders: Many high-value tenders (above ₹25 Cr) now require "Master System Integrator" (MSI) status or a consortium partnership with a proven track record of handling at least 500+ camera networks.
