Maintenance projects are critical for the longevity of public infrastructure. As of January 14, 2026, there is a heavy volume of tenders for road upkeep, institutional repairs, and electrical maintenance across both national and state levels.

1. National Level: Roads & Infrastructure (NHAI/MoRTH)

The focus this month is on "Short Term Maintenance Contracts" (STMC) and user-fee plaza upkeep.

2. Institutional & Specialized Maintenance (BSF, MES, DMRC)

Maintenance of government campuses and specialized equipment is currently a priority for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Defence.

  •  BSF (Border Security Force):
    • 1.Indore: Running and maintenance of an Olympic-size swimming pool (Closing: 21-Jan-2026).
    • 2.Tekanpur: Annual repair and maintenance of electrical installations in shopping complexes (Closing: 20-Jan-2026).
    • 3.Tripura: Replacement and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems at the Salbagan campus (Closing: 21-Jan-2026).
  •  Military Engineer Services (MES):
    • 1.Mumbai: Maintenance of connecting bridges and iron roof sheets at Colaba (Closing: 04-Feb-2026).
    • 2.Pune: Special repair to road furniture and signboards at Girinagar (Closing: 07-Feb-2026).
  •  Metro Rail (DMRC/CMRL):
    • 1.Delhi: Structural repair of station buildings and piers (Line-3, Yamuna Bank to Ashok Nagar).
    • 2.Chennai: Integrated cleaning and operational support for 18 stations (Phase II).

3. Solar & Electrical Maintenance

Many solar installations from the 2020-2023 period are now coming up for Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contracts (CAMC).

  •  Solar PV Modules: Cleaning and upkeep of Rooftop Solar Power Plants in Dehradun (Closing: 21-Jan-2026).
  •  2 MW Solar Plant: Comprehensive maintenance of the utility-scale plant in Kapurthala, Punjab (Closing: 31-Jan-2026).
  •  Solar Water Heaters: AMC for heating systems and heat pumps at AIIMS, New Delhi (Closing: 15-Jan-2026).

4. State-Level Highlights (PWD & Local Bodie)

States are prioritizing "Rain Damage Restoration" and "Annual Repair" (A/R) contracts as the financial year-end approaches.

  •  Himachal Pradesh PWD: Over 20 active tenders for "Restoration of Rain Damages" on district roads and A/R of link roads in Hamirpur and Shimla (Deadlines: 19-Jan to 23-Jan 2026).
  •  Madhya Pradesh (MP PWD): Extensive list of "Electrical and Maintenance Works" for government hospitals and administrative buildings across Bhopal and Indore.
  •  Delhi (DDA): Maintenance of completed horticulture schemes and park maintenance in Rohini and East Zone (Deadlines: 19-Jan-2026).
Important Reminder for Bidders

Maintenance tenders often require a Valid Enlistment Certificate in the specific class (Class I, II, III, etc.) of the respective department (e.g., CPWD or State PWD). For electrical maintenance, a Valid Electrical Contractor License issued by the state government is mandatory.
